How to enroll#

Should you run into any issues during the procedure, feel free to drop by the Telegram group chat; it’s a great place to connect with fellow students and get help if you need it.

To enroll in the Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, you must complete the following steps:

1. Check that you meet the entry requirements;
2. Review the assessment procedure and deadlines;
3. If applicable, follow the steps for international candidates;
4. Register on Infostud and apply;
5. Proceed to enrollment if accepted.

A B2-level knowledge of English is mandatory. See English requirements.

Entry requirements#

To be admitted, you must hold a bachelor’s degree or a three-year university diploma (or equivalent foreign qualification) and have acquired at least 44 CFU/ECTS in the following scientific disciplines:

• At least 18 CFU in core subject areas (mathematics, physics, computer science, statistics) selected from:
  • MAT/02, MAT/03, MAT/05, MAT/06;
  • FIS/01;
  • INF/01;
  • SECS-S/01.
• At least 24 CFU distributed across scientific and technological studies, electrical and electronic engineering, telecommunications engineering, management engineering, computer engineering, economic and social sciences, and legal disciplines selected from:
  • MAT/08, MAT/09;
  • INF/01;
  • ING-INF/01, ING-INF/02, ING-INF/03, ING-INF/04, ING-INF/05;
  • ING-IND/31, ING-IND/35;
  • SECS-P/06, SECS-P/07, SECS-P/08, SECS-P/10;
  • IUS/01, IUS/20.

If the entry requirements are not met, you may acquire the missing credits by passing single examinations. The procedures and costs are set out in the Student Regulations.

Assessment of personal knowledge#

Provided that admission requirements are met, a dedicated Committee will assess candidates’ personal knowledge based on:

• Relevance of the undergraduate degree curriculum;
• Other extracurricular activities, including work experience and training activities;
• Knowledge of English at B2 level;
• An interview (which may be conducted remotely).

Applicants must submit the required documentation exclusively via the dedicated Google Form by the same deadlines set for the eligibility application:

• Curriculum Vitae (in European format);
• Self-certification of the qualification obtained, specifying examinations taken and relevant scientific-disciplinary sectors (SSD) (template available here);
• Official certificate of English language proficiency at B2 level (alternatively, a self-certification form based on this template);
• Copy of the €10 payment receipt;
• Copy of a valid identity document.

English requirements#

Knowledge of English at B2 level is mandatory.

You must submit an official B2 language certificate or a self-certification form based on the official template available on the course web page.

Assessment of requirements and deadlines#

For the 2026/2027 academic year, you can submit your application and pay the €10 fee on Infostud by one of the following deadlines:

• September 15, 2026 (only date available for non-EU candidates requiring a student visa);
• October 15, 2026;
• November 17, 2026;
• December 17, 2026;
• January 14, 2027 (reserved for students who have already graduated from Sapienza or are about to graduate).

Payment must be made via PagoPA using course code 33516 (Read the instructions). More info regarding the enrolling payments are available at the Infostud section.

Candidates from other Italian universities#

Students coming from other Italian universities must pay the €10 fee and submit the required scanned documents via the dedicated Google Form by the application deadlines.

Candidates who have not graduated yet#

You may still apply for assessment, but you must obtain your degree by:

• December 19, 2026 if you are graduating from another university;
• January 23, 2027 if you are graduating from Sapienza.

Candidates with a non-Italian qualification#

Depending on your nationality, residency, and visa status, different procedures apply:

1. Non-EU citizens residing abroad (including Chinese students in the Marco Polo project)#

If you are a non-EU citizen residing outside Italy and require a study visa, you must obtain a pre-acceptance letter to enroll.

2. EU citizens (any residence) and non-EU citizens with residence permit in Italy#

This includes:

• EU citizens, regardless of residence;
• Non-EU citizens with a residence permit in Italy.

3. All foreign degree holders after requirement approval or pre-acceptance#

If you have passed the entry requirement assessment or received a pre-acceptance letter, follow the general enrollment instructions:

Infostud#

Once you have verified that you meet the entry requirements, reviewed deadlines, and—if applicable—followed international procedures, register on Infostud to obtain your student ID (matricola). Use a valid email address — it will be used for all communications.

Then access your private area → “Bachelor and Master Degree Programmes” → “Admission to Programmes”:

Enter the course code 33516, pay the €10 assessment fee via PagoPA (read the instructions), and wait for the result by email.

Enrollment#

If you are accepted, go to Infostud → “Bachelor and Master Degree Programmes” → “Year One” under the “Tuition Fees” section (see image) and insert 33516.

You will be able to generate two payment slips:

• One for the first installment only;
• One for all three installments.

You must pay one of them via PagoPA before the enrollment deadline.
