Working Student#
This page provides useful information for working students, both on certifying absence from work to take an exam and on accessing extraordinary examination sessions when the relevant requirements are met.
Absence from Work for Exam Participation#
A form to certify your participation in an exam is available. Students must complete all sections of the form and request the signature of the lecturer with whom the exam was taken. If the direct link to the form stops working, you can look for the updated version on the Student Forms page.
The Department stamp to confirm its validity is affixed by the Educational Affairs Office, via email (segr.didattica@di.uniroma1.it) by sending the form within a few days after the exam date, upon the student’s request and only if the lecturer’s signature is present.
Extraordinary Examination Sessions#
The self-certification form for working student status for participation in extraordinary exam sessions is available on the dedicated Student Forms page.
According to the Student Regulations, this applies if:
- you have carried out, for at least 60 days, even if not continuously, in the six months prior to the start date of the special exam session (Academic Senate Resolution of 2 March 2021):
- paid and contracted work on behalf of private individuals, including cooperatives, or public bodies;
- self-employed work with or without a VAT number;
- universal civil voluntary work for a public or private body;
- commercial, craft or agricultural business activities.
The form must be sent to the professor of the exam the student wishes to take and, for students enrolled in one of the Degree Programmes offered by the Department of Computer Science, to the Administrative Office of the Faculty of Information Engineering, Computer Science, and Statistics (“I3S”, segrstudenti.i3s@uniroma1.it) at least 20 days before the exam date.
