25/08/2026 - Complementary Educational Activities

Academic Year 2026/2027
Students may obtain the 6 ECTS credits required for a Complementary Educational Activity (AFC) through one of the following options:

  1. Choose an AFC offered by the Degree Programme
    Select one of the AFCs offered each year by the Degree Programme, which include both classroom teaching and individual work.
  2. Carry out a structured activity proposed by a lecturer
    Undertake a structured activity proposed by a lecturer, involving individual work but no classroom teaching.
  3. Agree on an individual project with a lecturer
    Agree with a lecturer on a topic for individual work, related either to a course taught by the lecturer or to their research activities.
  4. Take an examination in an additional course
    Pass an examination for a course not included in the student's study plan, which may subsequently be officially recorded as an AFC.
  5. Obtain recognition of an extracurricular activity
    Obtain recognition from the Committee for the Recognition of Extracurricular Activities for an activity carried out outside the University, to be validated as an AFC.

AFCs Offered for the Academic Year 2026/2027
The following Complementary Educational Activities are offered to students enrolled in the first semester of the second year for the academic year 2026/2027.
Type 1 AFC – Classroom Teaching and Individual Work
Instructors: Federica Mezzani, Virgil Sisoe – M74 Academy
Title: VFX Pipeline Engineering & AI Automation
Classroom/laboratory hours:
5 modules comprising:

  • 10 hours of theory;
  • 10–12 hours of practical sessions.

The activities will be delivered in a hybrid format, both remotely and in person at the M74 premises, Via della Lungara 34.
Type 2 AFC – Structured Activities Proposed by a Lecturer, with No Classroom Teaching
Instructors: Toni Mancini, Enrico Tronci
Title: AI for Design and Verification of Safety/Mission Critical Intelligent Systems

05/08/2026 - Class Timetable A.Y. 2026/2027

Please be informed that, starting today, class schedules and assigned classrooms will be uploaded and approved progressively.
Please note that this process will not be immediate and will require some time to be completed.
We therefore kindly ask all Degree Programmes, lecturers, and students to wait for the publication of the final timetable in PDF format, which will be available in the Featured Announcements section by the first week of September.

Please note that emails regarding class timetables will not be answered until the final publication of the schedules.

12/06/2026 - Premio “Una tesi per la sicurezza nazionale” – IX edizione

La Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri – Dipartimento delle Informazioni per la Sicurezza (PCM-DIS) bandisce la nona edizione del Premio “Una tesi per la sicurezza nazionale” per le migliori tesi di laurea magistrale su argomenti riferibili ai vari ambiti dell’intelligence e della sicurezza nazionale quali, a titolo esemplificativo: geopolitica; aree e situazioni di crisi; studi sull’intelligence; approfondimenti su funzioni, organizzazione, diritto, dottrina e storia dell’intelligence; minacce alla sicurezza nazionale; sicurezza economico-finanziaria, energetica, spaziale, ambientale.

Informazioni per la partecipazione
Il premio è rivolto agli studenti che abbiano conseguito una laurea magistrale con una tesi su temi di rilevanza per l’intelligence e la sicurezza nazionale, discussa tra il 1° aprile 2025 e il 31 marzo 2027, con una votazione non inferiore a 105/110.

Sono previsti fino a 10 premi del valore di € 3.000,00 ciascuno.

Termine per la presentazione delle candidature: 15 aprile 2027.

Exam calendar for the academic year 2025–2026 is available. Detailed schedules will be published after classroom allocation is confirmed; exam sessions can already be opened on Infostud.

If you are unable to register for an exam in the Infostud system, please follow these steps:
Email Subject: “Missing Exam in Infostud”
Email Content:
Include the academic year of your first enrollment,
the course name,
the name of the professor for the exam you wish to take.
Send the request to the educational office to resolve the issue: segr.didattica@di.uniroma1.it

18/02/2026 - Certificate of Exam Completion Signed by the Professor

Please use the attached form to justify your absence from work or to certify that you have taken an exam.
Complete all sections of the form and ask the lecturer with whom you took the exam to sign it.
After the lecturer signs it, send it to our office no later than a few days after the exam date.
We will affix the Department stamp to confirm its validity.
