MASTER PROGRAMME STUDY PLANS
Students enrolled in the Master Programme in Cybersecurity must have a valid study plan (“percorso formativo”) in order to book and take exams.
WHAT IS A STUDY PLAN?
A study plan defines the set of courses that a student intends to attend and complete during the first and second years of the programme.
Students cannot book or take any exam unless they have an approved study plan in force.
For this reason, students enrolled in the Master Programme in Cybersecurity must submit their study plan for approval at the beginning of their first year.
An approved study plan can be revised by submitting a new plan for approval. The new plan must include all courses for which the student has already completed the examination.
WHEN CAN STUDENTS SUBMIT OR REVISE THEIR STUDY PLAN?
Study plans that are still pending evaluation cannot be modified or replaced. For this reason, students are strongly advised to carefully review their study plan before submitting it and to do so only when they have a sufficiently clear idea of the courses they intend to attend, particularly during the following academic year.
HOW TO SUBMIT A STUDY PLAN?
Study plans must be submitted through the online submission system called “Percorsi Formativi”, accessible through Infostud .
WHEN DOES AN APPROVED STUDY PLAN COME INTO FORCE?
Students whose study plans are approved will receive a notification at their institutional email address.
Study plans approved between October and December will come into force on 1 January of the following year.
This means that, in order to take exams during the examination session from September to December, the relevant courses must already be included in a study plan approved during the previous academic year.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A STUDY PLAN IS REJECTED?
Students whose study plans are rejected will receive a notification at their institutional email address explaining the reasons for the rejection and providing further recommendations on how to correct the issues identified.
Students must submit a new study plan within the deadlines indicated above.
In the meantime, their previously approved study plan, if any, remains valid and can continue to be used to book and take exams.
HOW DO STUDY PLANS AFFECT THE POSSIBILITY OF BOOKING OR TAKING EXAMS?
The Infostud system does not allow students to book or register for an exam that is not included in their currently valid study plan.
Consequently, students who do not have an approved study plan in force cannot book or take any exam.
Students are strongly advised not to attempt to take exams for courses that are not yet included in their approved study plan. Such exams cannot be regularly registered and may result in the examination being declared invalid, as well as causing additional administrative issues.
ARE THERE ANY EXCEPTIONS TO THESE RULES?
Yes, but only for students who are spending a period abroad as part of the Erasmus programme.
In the event of serious administrative issues at the host institution, such students may contact the Study Plans Evaluation Committee to request assistance and, where appropriate, an immediate change to their study plan.
ARE THERE SPECIFIC GUIDELINES AND RECOMMENDATIONS ON THIS MATTER, AND HOW CAN STUDENTS REQUEST ASSISTANCE?
For specific guidelines, recommendations, or assistance concerning study plans, students can contact the Study Plans Evaluation Committee at:
